This self-defense training workshop will combine comprehensive defense techniques with realistic scenarios for men and women of all sizes and abilities. Simple and realistic self-defense techniques that are highly useful and effective will be demonstrated.
Participants will learn how to protect themselves, develop awareness and self-confidence and tone and build muscles. Participants will also acquire skills to immobilize and subdue an assailant while minimizing danger and damage to themselves.
This workshop is open to all staff and faculty and all degrees of strength and fitness levels are welcome. Workshop provided by UBC Recreation.
