Seasonal Nutrition: Diet & Stress  -  HP223

Part 1 of Healthy UBC's Seasonal Health Series with Dr. Thara Vayali

Stress is a loaded word, and decreasing it can feel like an unsurmountable task. Join us to explore ways you can eat to beat stress.

In this session, participants will learn how diet and dietary habits affect their reaction to stressors and how stress affects food cravings. They will also learn the hormonal and nervous system effects chronic stress has on the body and mind.

Participants will define three simple diet shifts that can assist with stress management.

This session as well as Part 2: Summer Health Tips are taking place at the Diamond Health Care Centre

Facilitator: Dr. Thara Vayali is a Naturopathic Doctor & Yoga Teacher in Vancouver and is also a UBC alumnus. Her focus is on intestinal and immune health, hormones, and pain-free bodies. For more information about Thara visit:
