Newcomers to Canada: Understanding Canadian Health Benefits  -  HP228

This session will be available at the Point Grey Campus only. The DHCC session was cancelled due to low enrollment.

Moving can be overwhelming, especially if you are trying to figure out how things work in a new country. This workshop will provide an overview on how health benefits work in Canada (in particular BC Medical Services Plan, Extended Health and Dental). Available housing and relocation services will also be highlighted to assist you and your family with a smooth transition to UBC.

Join UBC Benefits Specialist, Stephanie Mah, in this 1-hour session on understanding how Canadian health benefits work.

This session will also include a Q & A period and we encourage you to come with questions.

For any questions related to benefits at UBC, please email

Inform me when a new session is scheduled.
