About this session

Coaching@UBC has been offering free 1-on-1 Coaching Services to faculty and staff since 2002. Since then over 2,000 UBC employees have accessed our award winning program. To support personal and professional development, UBC offers a of variety of different ways to learn from large scale events, workshops, virtual learning, hands-on experience to coaching. This session will introduce you to coaching.


Learning Outcomes

By the end of this information session, you will have an understanding of:

  2. How does Coaching work?
  3. Why choose Coaching for personal or professional development?
  4. How do I access Coaching at UBC?


Audience

Open to all Faculty and Staff who are interested in finding out more about coaching and how you can use coaching to support your learning and development.

About the Presenters

Cindy Goundrey is the Program Lead for Coaching Services at UBC. Cindy's passion for coaching stems from the significant results individuals experience by intentionally attending to their goals in their work and personal lives with an accountability partner, a coach. Along with her 11 years of coaching experience, she has over 25 years of experience at UBC in human resource and operations management positions, in several faculties and within central administration. Cindy is a credentialed coach with the International Coaching Federation, completing her Coach Training at Royal Roads University.

Jessica Carry is the Program Manager for Coaching Services at UBC. Jessica brings over 10 years in Leadership Development with experience in shifting behavior using a lens of equity, inclusion, and wellbeing. Her experience as a lead facilitator for the Leadershape Institute and as Director of Speaker Curation for TEDxPasadena fueled her passion for coaching as a valuable tool to fuel forward progression and fulfillment. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Georgia State University and is in process of obtaining her certified coach certificate.
