Coaching For Personal and Professional Development - CPPD

About this session

Coaching@UBC has been offering free 1-on-1 Coaching Services to faculty and staff since 2002. Since then over 2,000 UBC employees have accessed our award winning program. To support personal and professional development, UBC offers a of variety of different ways to learn from large scale events, workshops, virtual learning, hands-on experience to coaching. This session will introduce you to coaching.

By the end of this information session, you will have an understanding of:

  2. How does Coaching work?
  3. Why choose Coaching for personal or professional development?
  4. How do I access Coaching at UBC?
Audience

Open to all Faculty and Staff who are interested in finding out more about coaching and how you can use coaching to support your learning and development.

About the presenter

Catharine Chang is the Program Manager for Coaching@UBC's 1-on-1 Coaching Services and also an Internal Coach at UBC. Catharine believes in building an individual's capacity to achieve meaningful results and chose to specialize in Employee Development and Coaching in Organizations. In addition to her 10 years of coaching experience, she has over 15 years of managerial Human Resources experience from diverse organizations. Catharine discovered Coaching in 2002 when she found a Coach through Coaching@UBC. She was a successful applicant for Coaching@UBC's Coach Internship Program in 2009 and completed her Coach Training with the Co-Active Training Institute. She is an ICF Credentialed Professional Certified Coach (PCC) and a Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR).
