Understanding and Coping with Premenstrual Symptoms - HP024

Younger, menstruating women may experience problems with feeling bloated, hungry, moody and having sore breasts before their period. They may also have periods that are far apart, trouble with weight gain and unwanted facial or body hair. These 'problem periods' stem from understandable disturbances of the menstrual cycle and ovulation.

Join Dr. Jerilynn Prior, facilitator of a popular past session about perimenopause and menopause, for this talk.

The purpose of this session is to help understand how the menstrual cycle works, to appreciate how often things are well coordinated and normal and to know what to do to understand and improve the things that are troublesome. There will be time for questions that can be asked in a non-personal or embarrassing way.

This session is open to staff, faculty and post docs.
