Introduction to Nordic Walking - HP055

Balance Walking or Nordic Walking is about encouraging healthier lifestyles. It encourages participants to not only focus on increasing physical activity, but better sleep, quality nutrition and stress reduction.

This introductory session will focus mostly on the sport of Nordic Walking, which is an activity that is easy for anyone to do. Whether you're young or not-so-young, already fit or working towards getting fit, Nordic Walking can help you reach your goals.

Designed as a pain-free exercise that won't put undue stress on the knees or other joints, millions have found Nordic Walking to be a healthy activity that's easy to stick with.

Come dressed for the weather and remember to wear comfortable shoes. We will meet at the front doors of the General Services Administration Building (GSAB).

Please note that this session is for staff, faculty and post docs.
