    Bone up on your Health!

Bones truly are the backbone of your body. They support you, allow you to move, and protect the body from injury. Bones also store and release much needed minerals within the body. Your bone health is largely determined by how well you understand and look after your bones. We are here to help!

This years Traveling Health Fair will focus on bone health for men and women of all ages.

    At the fair, you will:

  • Determine your risk of a bone fracture (a serious health problem).

  • Receive a personalized plan of action for keeping your bones healthy for life.

  • Get information on how calcium, Vitamin D, food choices and other factors impact your bone health.

  • Learn amazing facts about the bones in your body.

Appointments are available every 15 minutes and the screening last approximately 15-20 minutes.

All participants will receive a Health Passport in which you will receive confidential and individual results. These results will be interpreted by licensed Registered Pharmacists assisted by Pharmacy students in order to assess risk and make recommendations to improve health and lifestyle factors.

The UBC Health Wellbeing and Benefits team will also be on hand to provide resources, information and freebies!

NOTE: If you do not see any available time-slots, they are all full. If you would like to be added to a general wait-list (date only, not time), please email efap.info@ubc.ca

This event is made possible by a partnership with the Pharmacists Clinic-UBC Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences.
