HRMS - Introduction to HRMS - Vancouver Campus - HRM1

This 2 hour, computer lab style course (formerly part of HRMS General Training) will introduce departmental staff, who have HRMS access, to the general basics of HRMS. It is required for those who are new to HRMS, and is a prerequisite for all other HRMS lab courses. Staff who currently use HRMS and would like a refresher are also welcome.

This course covers:

  • technical requirements.
  • security and protection of privacy.
  • signing on.
  • menu navigation.
  • setting date format preferences.
  • the HR Setup Tables; including department codes, location codes, job codes, union codes, and the salary grade/step tables.
  • the HRMS Reporting database; including how to search for and run HRMS queries.

NOTE: This course (or the equivalent experience) is a prerequisite for all other HRMS lab courses.
