Cardiovascular disease (heart disease and stroke) is a leading cause of death for Canadian men and women, so it is important to understand your risk factors and key prevention strategies. This year, UBCs Travelling Health Fair will focus on heart health.

Total appointment time: 20-30 minutes

As part of this FREE health fair you will receive confidential screening information and measurements related to the following areas:

Blood Pressure

BMI (height, weight, waist measurement)

Cholesterol ( a small finger prick)

Heart disease risk (Framingham score)

Counselling and interpretation of results with a licensed pharmacist

All participants will receive a Health Passport in which you will receive confidential and individual results.

These results will be interpreted by licensed Registered Pharmacists assisted by Pharmacy students in order to assess risk and make recommendations to improve health and lifestyle factors.

UBCs Health Wellbeing and Benefits team will also be on hand to provide resources, information and freebies!

This event is made possible by a partnership with the Pharmacists Clinic-UBC Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences.

NOTE: if you do not see any available timeslots, they are all full. If you would like to be added to a general waitlist (date only, not time), please email efap.info@ubc.ca
