Learn to Meditate - HP139

Returning for Summer 2018!

Participants from past LTM gave it such high praise that we are bringing back Wendy Quan to facilitate this three-part series once again.

This 3-part course is designed for both new and experienced in the world of mindfulness meditation. It will introduce participants to the basic concepts of meditation and mindfulness techniques and is specifically tuned to the working environment.

Sessions will include instruction, discussion, guided meditation and visualization in a non-religious context. Participants will be provided with handouts, homework practice, follow up emails and access to downloadable recordings.

Learning Objectives:

  • To cultivate personal resilience and stress management skills;

  • To learn various techniques to find what works best for you;

  • To understand the key factors for successful mindfulness meditation; and

  • Gain confidence to start a personal practice of your own.

    *The sessions will be held in the TEF 3 Building (6190 Agronomy rd) at UBC's Point Grey Campus

    Cost: $35

    Payable by cash, JV to KPGK or by cheque to UBC Human Resources. Payment must be received before registration is confirmed.
