Making Time Work for You (at VGH/DHCC) - HP192

Most of us are often under some kind of pressure to produce results; however, it may feel as though the day is not long enough to be able to meet all of our commitments and deadlines. This session will teach you that you cannot control time but can control your actions and priorities. By understanding and applying the principles of personal management around time, you'll be able to transform an overwhelming day into a productive and satisfying one.

The facilitator of the session will be provided by UBC's Employee and Family Assistance Program provider, Shepell. This free workshop is available to all UBC staff and faculty.

By the end of the session, you will be able to:

  • Understand the importance of prioritization;
  • Develop an effective to-do list based on priorities; and
  • Discuss techniques for managing interruptions and overcoming procrastination.
