Tai Chi Fitness Class - HP214

Tai Chi is more than what it appears to be. While it is most widely practiced for its health benefits including improved strength, flexibility and balance, it is at its core, an ancient and complex internal martial art. Every body motion has a purpose and a martial arts application. Tai Chi was designed to seem passive and calm while still possessing powerful martial arts capabilities. With a focus on balancing your inner chi and finding the center of your body, you can learn to defend yourself with very little strength.

This class, provided by UBC Recreation, is structured for all abilities for an effective way to relax your mind and body and is free for all staff and faculty.
