About this workshop

This workshop is designed to support new supervisors, individuals looking to step into a new role, and leaders in their current roles wanting to sharpen their leadership skills. Learners will gain key perspectives required for their roles in today's work environment.

In this workshop, you will have the opportunity to generate a deeper understanding of communication and leadership styles, and to develop a common language for communicating and problem-solving together. Learners will also establish a practical approach for ongoing development as leaders in this interactive workshop.

Learning Outcomes

At the end of this session, learners will have generated ways to bring out the best in people with different communication styles, learned the basics between coaching vs. directing, and accessed a framework for providing focus and direction in their leadership.


This workshop is designed for leaders moving into new roles, current leaders who have direct reports and/or lead teams, and leaders who are seeking to develop new skills and knowledge to excel in their current roles.

The experiential learning environment in this workshop is safe, diverse, and rich from the interactions, stories, and real-life situations the learners bring.

About the facilitator

Molly Edge Molly brings a rich portfolio with over 18 years of business experience to her work as a Certified Executive Coach with Essential Impact. She has an unwavering dedication to support all levels of leaders and leadership teams in their pursuit of personal and professional success, focusing specifically on leadership development and co-creating strong, sustainable coaching cultures within organizations. With a UBC degree in Psychology, a BCIT Human Resource Certification, and experience in multiple corporate positions, Molly realized her passion for coaching and her ability to positively impact the lives of leaders and their work environments over 9 years ago. She is Associate Faculty in the Certified Executive Coaching Program at Royal Roads University, and is certified in the Strength Deployment Inventory (SDI), and in Legacy Leadership®. In her experience, leaders are continuously faced with economic pressures, internal and external organizational issues, lack of clarity on professional direction and personal fulfillment. Molly supports leaders by identifying unique strengths to maximize their potential in managing workplace challenges by communicating with more impact, building strong working relationships, making mindful decisions, and managing time effectively. Molly's talent is creating a trusting, collaborative coaching partnership focused on achieving results, and infusing fun. With a passion for fitness, health, and wellbeing, Molly enjoys cross-fit, running, hiking, yoga, cooking, and enjoying the natural beauty of Vancouver with her family and close community.
