Moving from Peer to Leader - 1 & 2 - MPLC

This two-day workshop is of interest to anyone who:

  • Is a first-time manager or supervisor
  • Will be managing sometime in the near future
  • Is ever called upon to fill an acting role as manager or supervisor
  • Wishes to build leadership skills and explore leadership concepts and techniques in details

Day 1

Participants will leave with practical, proven techniques to handle their managerial or supervisory responsibilities, and will:

  • Understand their management strengths in light of "best leadership" practices
  • Learn how to provide effective direction as new leaders
  • Learn how to manage work flow
  • Provide constructive feedback using a coaching approach.

Day 2

Participants will leave with practical, proven techniques to handle their managerial or supervisory responsibilities, and will:

  • Become familiar with the Legacy Leadership Competency Inventory (LLCI) a framework that guides the behaviors and attitudes of a great leader
  • Explore deeper understanding of Legacy Leadership Best Practices
  • Understand how to lead a variety of staff across generations
  • Engage in problem-solving conversations with peers
  • Gain practical application experience of the model to real situations at
